About this experience

We will pick you up at 6:20 a.m. from the hotel and head to the coastal town of Bertioga, a 1.30-hour drive from São Paulo, to explore one of the three available trails: Tower 47 Trail, Guaratuba Trail, and Elephant Trail.

The Tower 47 Trail traverses different ecosystems, including Atlantic Forest and coastal vegetation, and passes through the historic Banana Bridge. You'll have the opportunity to see waterfalls and natural pools as you reach the impressive Tower 47 transmission tower.

Guaratuba Trail leads to a secluded beach through the Atlantic Forest, streams and enchanting landscapes. It's a 4 km moderate trail that offers an immersive experience on Guaratuba Beach, with its white sands and crystal-clear waters.

Elephant Trail is a moderate to difficult 4 km trail with lush vegetation, rivers, and waterfalls. At the end, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of Bertioga's coastline and the Atlantic Forest, as well as the opportunity to relax on a secluded beach

Stop 1

We will pick you up at 6:30 a.m. from your hotel and head towards the coastal city of Bertioga, which is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from São Paulo. There, we will embark on one of the incredible and captivating trails that are available on that particular day in the Atlantic Forest region, a dense and meticulously preserved forest.

As São Paulo is 760 meters above sea level, to reach Bertioga, the highways traverse an astonishing mountain range that extends along the south and southeast coast of Brazil. You will have breathtaking views of the valleys as we drive through the set of hills.

Upon arrival in Bertioga, we will embark on one of the available trails for that specific day, which may include the Tower 47 Trail, the Guaratuba Trail, or the Elephant Trail.

Tower 47 Trail: Near the city center, this trail passes through the historic Banana Bridge and dense Atlantic Forest. It leads to transmission tower 47, with a waterfall of the same name. Enjoy diverse ecosystems, stunning waterfalls, and natural pools. Perfect for rappelling, trekking, birdwatching, photography, and river bathing.

The Guaratuba Trail is renowned for its natural beauty and takes you to a secluded and preserved beach. Starting from Guaratuba Beach, you will enjoy a pleasant walk through sections of preserved Atlantic Forest, streams, and enchanting landscapes. With approximately 4 kilometers in length, this moderate trail offers an immersive experience. Upon reaching Guaratuba Beach, you can relax and enjoy the white sands and crystal-clear waters surrounded by native vegetation.

If you are looking for a challenge, the Elephant Trail is an excellent option. Located in the Serra do Mar State Park, this trail ranges from moderate to difficult and spans approximately 4 kilometers. During the hike, you will be immersed in lush vegetation, crossing rivers and waterfalls. At the end of the trail, you will be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Bertioga's coastline and the Atlantic Forest. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to relax and connect with nature at the secluded Camburizinho Beach.

Stop 5

After completing the trail, we will drive back to São Paulo, which will take approximately 2 hours. During the journey, we will have the opportunity to engage in a conversation tailored to your interests. We can discuss various topics, including the local biome, history, or culture of the area.
