About this experience

This tour offers you the unique opportunity to visit 2 World-Heritage Sites.- Sataplia and Prometheus Caves on a single day tour in addition to nearby waterfalls. Both caves are full of stalactites & stalagmites, dinosaur footprints, underground rivers, and many other natural attractions still preserved in their pristine beauty.

For Prometheus you may chose one of 2 options a) Walking tour along the 1,600-meter route, or b) boat ride along the underground river.

You will be picked up from your pick-up location by an experienced driver along with Tour Guide who will try to make your trip comfortable and fun at the same time.

The first stop of the tour will be at Surani where you will have the option of tasting freshly baked Nazuqi.

Prometheus Cave is located in Tskaltubo municipality, village Kumistavi. River. The total length of the cave is about 11 km, of which 1060 m are open to visitors. Discover real masterpieces of nature - stalactites and stalagmites at Prometheus Cave, which are the most beautiful forms created by nature. While visiting the cave, hanging waterfalls are waiting for you.

Drive past Martvili canyon and once you cross the bridge in Gachedili, turn right and head for Balda Monastery. At the monastery, you can park your car and either choose to visit the breath-taking Balda canyon, or walk past the monastery on the left side and follow the trail for Kaghu waterfall.

The Natural Monument is located in the southern part of the Abasha River massif, on limestone rocks. The length of canyon is – 1400 meters, width – 5-10 meters, and depth – 25-30 meters.
