This tour consists of guided visits to a Cave and a Maya Temple. All in one full day of adventure. We visit Actunich Tunich Muknal Cave followed by the Maya Temple of Xunantunich.
This combo tour begins at 8:00am and concludes around 5:00pm.
Pickup included
An hour drive from San Ignacio, will take you into the Tapir Mountain Reserve. Here we will park our vehicles, gear up and hike for 30 minutes to the entrance of the cave.
Here you will find yourself immersed in pristine jungle surroundings, home of howler monkeys, spider monkeys, birds and iguanas. While exploring along with your guide, you will learn about the history of this site and the Maya civilization that once inhabited it.
We will break for lunch at a restaurant in the village before heading to the Cave Tubing site.
San Jose Succotz is a Maya village in the Cayo District of Belize, consisting mainly of people of Yucatec Maya descent. It's located approximately 10 minutes west of San Ignacio Town. Xunantunich Maya Temple is located in this village. We will driver to the village where will get on the hand cranked ferry and cross the Mopan River to gain access to the Maya site.
Your driver/guide will have a sign with your name for easy recognition. He will meet you by the bus terminal.

• Change of Clothes for the ride back.
For ATM Cave tour you will need to wear closed toe shoes with good traction, we recommend wearing light comfortable clothing (quick to dry), sport shorts and tank tops/t-shirts work well. You will need a pair of socks for when you’re inside the cave.
We will supply towels and there are changing rooms at the site where you will be able to change.
N.B. Cameras (of no sort) are allowed at all inside the cave. No cellphones, no GoPro, nada.
Hotel pickups commence approximately 15 to 30 minutes prior to this time, exact pickup time will be advised on reconfirmation.
