Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

The round trip train tickets will be booked in advance under your name and train information will be sent to you before the travel date, you will take morning train from Xi’an to Luoyang and afternoon train back.

Please arrange your own transportation to take the high-speed train from Xian North Train Station to Luoyang Longmen Train Station in the morning, local tour guide will meet you at the exit of Luoyang station.

The guide will accompany you to visit the Longmen Grottoes firstly, which is one of the four major cave clusters in China. Besides the grottoes, lots of historical materials concerning art, music, religion, calligraphy, medicine, costume and architecture are kept here.

Stop 2

Continue to explore the Shaolin Temple, the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts. You will visit the main scenic spots like the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Grand Hall, the Sutra Depository, the Hall of Thousand Buddhas and the Pagoda Forest in Shaolin Temple.

In this afternoon, the guide will see you off at Luoyang Longmen Railway Station. There you will take the high-speed train back to Xian, and please get to the hotel by yourself upon arrival in Xi’an.
