2 hours north of Cape town is Cape town's closest and most famous wildlife game reserve, Aquila. Situated on 10000-hectare farm, Aquila is the closest hope of having the big five once again roaming the Western Cape lands of South Africa after over 400 years of extinction. As expected with any wildlife rehabilitation centers, the Aquila reserve is not fully wild as animals are fed to a certain extent and predators are separated from other animals and at the same time giving guest a chance to ride horses in a reserve full of Rhinos, hippos, Buffalos and many more. The horse ride is roughly an hour to 2 hours long. After the horse safari, you will be treated with a buffet lunch before you leave Aquila Safari for your wine tasting in Paarl
Fairview is located in the Paarl wine making region of the Cape winelands, just 25 minutes Northeast of Stellenbosch town and 5 minutes east of the N1. Fairview offers Cape town's most famous cheese and wine pairing, and you will be able to take part in this experience before you return to Cape town where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
