06.45 AM (Can be adjusted as per the client requirements and the availability of the train). A driver will pick you up from the hotel in Delhi, Gurgaon, or Noida at 06.45 AM. You will drive to the Nizamuddin railway station to catch the superfast train to Agra. You will be provided with e-tickets by email.
8:00 AM: Board the Gatimaan Express, India's fastest train, for a luxurious journey to Agra. The train offers a range of amenities, including onboard catering, so you can enjoy a light breakfast as you travel. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, allowing you to reach Agra by 10:00 AM.
10:00 AM: Upon arrival at Agra Cantt railway station, you will be greeted by your local guide and driver. They will be your companions for the day, providing insights into the history and culture of Agra.
10:30 AM: The first stop of the day is the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Your guide will take you through the history of the monument, explaining its significance and the stories behind its construction. Spend ample time exploring the intricate marble work, the beautifully landscaped gardens, and the reflection pools that make the Taj Mahal a symbol of eternal love.
1:00 PM: After visiting the Taj Mahal, you will head to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch. Agra is famous for its Mughlai cuisine, so be sure to try some local delicacies such as kebabs, biryanis, and sweets like petha and dalmoth.
2:30 PM: With your hunger satisfied, it's time to explore another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Agra Fort. Also known as the Red Fort of Agra, this imposing structure served as the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The fort is a stunning example of Mughal architecture, with its red sandstone walls and intricate carvings. Your guide will take you through the various sections of the fort, including the Jahangiri Mahal, the Diwan-i-Khas, and the Diwan-i-Am, sharing stories of its history and the events that took place within its walls.
4:30 PM: After exploring the Agra Fort, you will have some free time to explore the local markets of Agra. Agra is known for its handicrafts, particularly marble work and leather goods. 5:00 PM: As the day comes to an end, you will be transferred to the Agra Cantt railway station for your return journey to Delhi. Board the Gatimaan Express, relax, and reflect on the day's adventures as you travel back to the capital.
7:00 PM: Arrive at the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. Reflect on the day's experiences and marvel at the beauty and history you have witnessed during your same-day tour to Agra.
