About this experience

When in Krakow, it is worth going to the monastery on Jasna Góra.
This is one of the most important places of worship of the Virgin Mary and has been the most important pilgrimage centre in Poland for hundreds of years. The miraculous image of the Black Madonna from Jasna Góra is especially worshipped by the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Catholic Church.
The visit to the old Pauline Monastery is a unique opportunity to learn about the everyday lives of monks, to see the beauty of medieval monastery buildings and fortification walls, and admire the baroque basilica. In the end of the day we will drop you off at the departure point chosen by you.

Stop 1 Pass by

Situated by the Vistula river, Krakow is the cradle of Polish culture anda characteristic urban phenomenon. It is the former capital of Poland, the place of coronation and later the burial ground of almost all Polish monarchs. For a long time it has been attracting scholars with the oldest university in the country, artists with the cultural climate and pilgrims with the sanctuaries and holy relics. Since the beginning, Kraków has also been enticing tourists with its atmosphere, monuments, and recently also the memory of Pope John Paul II.
We leave Krakow and head to Częstochowa - the destination of our trip (we will spend about 2 hours on the way).

Jasna Gora Sanctuary in Czestochowa

It is the holiest place of Poland and one of the world’s most iThe Monastery of Jasna Góra in Częstochowa, Poland, is the third-largest Catholic pilgrimage site in the world. Home to the beloved miraculous icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa, the monastery is also the national shrine of Poland and the center of Polish Catholicism.
Walking tour of the Pauline monastery, treasury and church takes approx. 3 hrs and is a unique opportunity to learn about the everyday lives of monks, to see the beauty of medieval monastery buildings and fortification walls, and admire the baroque basilica.

After the visit, we will have a lunch break

Stop 4 Pass by

Relax and reflect on the ride back to Krakow in the afternoon, where the tour concludes with drop-off back at your original departure point (approx. 2 hrs.).
