Your private day tour starts with a pick-up at your Zhengzhou hotel lobby at your preferred time (8:00 AM is recommended). A private vehicle and English-speaking guide will be provided for your entire trip.
Morning: Zhengzhou → Shaolin Temple (Approx. 1.5-2 Hours’ Drive)
You will take a private vehicle to Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City, about 80 kilometers from Zhengzhou, taking 1.5-2 hours. During the ride, your guide will introduce Shaolin Temple’s history—founded in 495 AD as the birthplace of Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Kung Fu, along with related stories.

Stop 2

Upon arrival at Shaolin Temple (a national 5A scenic spot), you will follow your guide to explore core attractions with detailed explanations.
1. Shaolin Kung Fu Performance: First, you will watch a 30-minute Kung Fu performance at Shaolin Wushu Hall (a 5-minute walk from the entrance). Performed by Shaolin monks and young martial artists, it showcases various amazing moves, with your guide explaining their cultural significance.

2. Ancient Architectural Complex Tour: After the performance, you will visit Shaolin’s ancient buildings along the central axis, including the Mountain Gate, Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall, Scripture Collection Pavilion, Lixue Pavilion and Qianfo Hall. Your guide will share the history and stories behind each building.

3. Pagoda Forest Visit: Next, you will visit the Pagoda Forest, China’s largest, with 231 pagodas from 7 dynasties—tombs of Shaolin’s eminent monks. Your guide will introduce the pagodas’ history, structure and artistic value.

After lunch, take a private vehicle to Yellow River Scenic Park (about 1.5-hour drive). Your guide will introduce the Yellow River, China’s "Mother River" and the cradle of Chinese civilization, as well as the park’s geographical features.
Yellow River Scenic Park Visit (With Guide’s Explanation)

Upon arrival at the Yellow River Scenic Park, you will follow your guide to explore its core attractions.

Your guide will take you to key spots: Yanhuang Two Emperors Square (to admire the 100-meter-tall Yanhuang Stone Sculpture, symbolizing the Chinese nation), Wulongfeng Scenic Area (to see the "Nurturing" Sculpture and overlook the Yellow River from Jimu Pavilion).

You will also visit the Yellow River Forest of Steles and the old Yellow River Railway Bridge site. Your guide will share related stories, and you will have time for free photos.

After a 2-hour visit to the Yellow River Scenic Park, your guide and driver will take you back to your Zhengzhou hotel.
