About this experience
Meet your driver at the hotel lobby and transfer by Sedan or Minivan to lost city of Pompeii. On site you will meet the expert local guide to enjoy the amazing tour into the excavations which hold an intense fascination for visitors today, that after the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in the year 79 AD, lay buried and forgotten for hundreds of years. The ancient Roman town is high on the list of Wonders of the World and the excavations begun in the 18th century are still being carried out tod and gives historians and archaeologists a vivid picture of life in the Roman Empire around 2,000 years ago.
Of particular interest during the visit will be the Antiquarium Forum, the Stabian Baths, Casa dei Vettii and the Villa of the Mysteries.
